This 90-minute guided walk is perfectly timed to transition from twilight into the night, allowing you to experience the mid winter woods under the spectacular natural light of the full Snow Moon. The hike offers a unique opportunity to connect with nature, engage your senses, and clear your head, and also includes a discussion about winter forest animals.
Pre-registration and a signed waiver are required.

Feeling the winter doldrums? Cabin fever creeping in?
What if winter wasn’t something to push through—but a chance to pause and replenish?
When it’s cold and gray, it’s easy to stay inside. The weather can feel intimidating. Screens pull us in. The world keeps moving fast—even though everything in nature is slowing down.
This guided forest bathing experience is a gentle way to shift out of that mode. You’ll step outside, slow down, reconnect with your senses, and experience the quiet beauty of the season. You’ll leave feeling clearer, calmer, and more alive. And you might even start to enjoy winter in a whole new way.
Date: Sunday, February 22, 2026
Time: 1:00 PM – 3:30 PM
We would be happy to host your scouts for a "Forest in Winter" program on Saturday, February 28th.
Since your pack includes scouts from Kindergarten through 5th grade, we will tailor the concepts so that the younger cubs stay engaged while the older scouts get a more in-depth look at forest ecology.
