McKaig Nature Education Center
Thousands of people have found physical, mental, and emotional restoration on the McKaig trails during the year. Let’s return the favor as a community on National Trails Day and care for the magnificent McKaig trail system, helping more people in the community enjoy trails and quality green space.

Learn about the spark that one year later fueled the Boston Tea Party during this guided hike in McKaig. Time TBD
Celebrate with us the return of the McKaig Gala. The theme this year is "Strawberry Festival", enjoy many treats with a favorite red fruit.
We‘ll marvel in the year‘s accomplishments and gather new ideas for the future.
Fun, food ,music, friends and again, the trails will be lit by luminaries for a special, magical, twilight tour in the woods.

Walk in Penn’s Woods, a statewide coordinated event on the first Sunday in October, encourages people across Pennsylvania to learn how their local woods work, see forests in new ways, and appreciate and love the forests so that we can all care well for them.
Walk in Penn’s Woods is for people across Pennsylvania to visit and learn about the forests that enhance our well-being. Forests are always working for us, providing recreation, wildlife habitat, beauty, improved water quality, clean air, wood products, carbon storage, and more.
Pre-registration and a signed waiver are required.
*Donations will be split between WalkinPennsWoods.org and McKaig Nature Center
