Geared towards elementary/middle school aged children.

Roast marshmallows to golden gooey perfection and place between the chocolate and graham crackers all while listening to the Student and Parent storytellers around the bonfire by Old Roberts Schoolhouse.

Registration a must as the event will surely sell out as in years past. See instructions below.

Open mic: Enchanted kids and parents will tell/read spooky seasonal tales weaving in local history.

Plan to bring a flashlights and beach chairs or ground blankets. Additional s'mores kits available.

Attendees will be invited on a moonlit walk through the woods starting about 7:30pm. 
Historic Old Roberts Schoolhouse.

Park in the Roberts Elementary School Parking Lot (889 Croton Rd, Wayne) and on the right side of the lot is our 1850's one room schoolhouse.
Looking forward to seeing you at Bonfire, s'mores and smiles.


It saves us considerable processing fees if you pay by venmo.
• Please "Register Now" (top right of this page)
• on the "Event Registration - Summary" under "Payment Information"
• select "Pay at event" before selecting "Complete Registration". 
• Then venmo payment to @ParkRanger-McKaig and add "Free Play Tribe" in the venmo comments.

Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear, the event is rain or shine. Bring smiles, flashlights and something to sit on.

There will be a bonfire or 2 in a fire containers at the event. We will call up families to roast marshmallows one at a time.

We will provide roasting sticks, s'more kits along with wet wipes.
