Girl (and Boy) Scouts have been learning from our instructors and utilizing McKaig's 91 acre park and Old Roberts Schoolhouse for over 60 years.

Badge Program: Our Scout Badge programs typically involve classroom instruction in the historic Old Roberts Schoolhouse, a trip into the woods to put their new skills to the test, then back to the Schoolhouse for craft/snacks/wrap-up. 

Costs: The approximately 1½ to 2 hour badge class costs $150 (or $140 for current McKaig members) for up to 18 scouts. If there are more than 18 scouts, we can provide a second instructor for an additional $80. 

More advanced badges that require more time will cost $80 for additional hours (including instructor preparation time) These badge classes may be limited to a much smaller group size.

A materials fee may apply to some programs. ie. woodworking

Troop Leader Responsibilities: Troop leaders are responsible to supply snacks, drinks, crafts etc. if desired.
Troops are required to have supervising adults attend the program as well in (at minimum) a ratio of:
1 Adult to 4 Daisies
1 Adult to 6 Brownies
1 Adult to 8 Juniors and Cadettes
1 Adult to 12 Seniors and Ambassadors
