The McKaig Nature Center will be hosting its annual 5k Trail Run and Monkey Rock Miler on Oct 6th, 2019.
The race will begin at the Old Roberts Schoolhouse as runners separate through the grass fields before entering the beautiful trails of the nature center. Once inside, racers will experience a challenging yet scenic course that runs through streams, up rocky elevations, through grassy meadows and over bridges. Find out firsthand why this has been deemed one of the most unique and challenging 5Ks in the region. The numbers have grown each year since it's inception in 2016 and this year it will be limited to 150 racers, so don't hesitate!

Walkers will enjoy a scenic journey to Monkey Rock to ring the cast iron bell and then return to the festival area for a morning of fun.
Kids race thru the fields in the quarter-mile kids course for free!
Check-in will be in the Roberts Elementary School parking area beginning at 7:45 a.m. at 889 Croton Road, Wayne Pa 19087. Street parking available for overflow.
Award presentations will be made in the festival area behind Old Roberts Schoolhouse where there will be music and complementary post-race food & drinks for participants.
McKaig Nature Center is an easy to get to oasis minutes from King of Prussia. 100% of the profits from this race go to maintaining this unspoiled open space and the nature programs it supports.

REMEMBER: This race is manually timed. Pin your number to your shirt FRONT leaving the bottom portion unpinned so it can be removed as you cross the finish line. This is very important!
WHEN: Sunday, October 6th, 2019
7:45 a.m. – Registration begins
9:00 a.m. – Run Start
9:45 - Monkey Rock Miler Start
9:45 - Kids race
10:15 a.m. – Award presentation in festival area
HOW: To register, continue to complete this form below and submit payment to McKaig Nature Education Center by September 29th 11:59pm. Registrations after this date, including walk-ups, will be based on availability at a cost of $35 per entrant. McKaig 5k Trail Race T-shirts are available for all racers that pre-register by the 9/29 deadline. Size requests will be honored to the best of our ability
COURSE/RESULTS: 1, 2 and 3 mile marked with water station at the halfway mark. Race results will be published within the week on www.EnjoyMcKaig.org
AMENITIES: Race t-shirt, custom bib, age group medals, prizes for top 3 male and female overall and age group finishers, post-race food and drink, festival area with games and music.
PRIZES: Subject to Change: Medals will be awarded to the top 3 Overall Male and Female finishers, as well as the top 2 Male and Female finishers in each of the following age groups: 19 and Under, 20-29 years, 30-39 years, 40-49 years, 50-59 years and 60+
PURPOSE: To benefit education programs and environmental preservation.
DIRECTIONS: McKaig Nature Education Center is conveniently located adjacent to Roberts Elementary School, only minutes from 276, 476, 202 and 422 at 889 Croton Road, Wayne Pa 19087.
