You’ve packed some great concepts into your project, and we can easily touch on all of those subjects during a hike. The land, ecosystem, and water components are a natural fit for our trails. We can also certainly discuss the Indigenous Peoples of Pennsylvania, including the Lenape (along with the other tribes of the Algonquin Nation) and the Delaware tribe, who often interacted in our area.

Here is a quick overview of how we structure a program for this age group:

• We start at our historic, Old Park Ranger House for a quick 5-minute safety chat.

• We head out into the woods for a guided hike using our easiest trail. We will walk about 0.5 miles out and 0.5 miles back, stopping along the way to discuss the environmental concepts.

• The cost is $200 for a 2-hour program.
