About this event

?? Wolf Supermoon Hike: Limited Spots Available!

Get ready to witness the first full moon of 2026!

Join us for a special Wolf Supermoon Viewing Hike on Friday, January 2nd, starting at 6:30 PM. As November's Supermoon event was completely sold out, we encourage you to register today to secure your spot!

This unique guided hike will cover approximately 1.7 to 2.4 miles along McKaig's trails, letting you experience the winter woods illuminated by one of the brightest moon of the season.
January's full moon is traditionally known as the Wolf Moon. We will finish up around 8:00 PM.

To ensure everyone has a great experience, we will split into two groups:

  • ?? The Turtles: This group will take a slow, leisurely pace, focusing on the sights, sounds, and stillness of the nocturnal forest. Remember, a group can only go as fast as the slowest person!

  • ?? The Rabbits: This group will take a slightly longer route at a faster hiking pace.

Both groups will converge at the prime viewing spot on the trails to enjoy the Supermoon together. We look forward to meeting you for an unforgettable night in nature!

This special guided hike is also a fundraiser for our trail preservation fund. We are asking for a $10+ donation per adult to help us protect and expand these precious natural areas for generations to come. Don't miss this chance to witness the breathtaking brilliance of the supermoon while supporting a great cause. Mark your calendars and prepare for an unforgettable night!

Looking forward to meeting you at the Croton Road trailhead by Roberts Elementary School.
