McKaig 5k Trail Race
& Monkey Rock Miler
Sunday, October 1st, 2017, 9am
After a very successful inaugural campaign, McKaig Nature Education Center, a local oasis known for its well‐maintained trails, unspoiled woods and pristine creeks, is excited to be hosting its 2nd annual 5k trail race! The mission of this beautiful park and long time home to hikers, dog walkers, families and runners, is to provide an education in environmental and nature studies to students and organizations- an education that can not be taught in classrooms or on screens.
With a beautiful backdrop and post‐race festival featuring food and entertainment, this will be a great way to showcase your organization to McKaig’s many local supporting members, as well as the 100+ racers and their supporters. The success of this event depends, in part, on the generous investments from our sponsors. Not only is thisa great advertising opportunity for you, but your donations will help support environmental educational programs as well as maintenance projects that will ensure the long-term park sustainability for generations.
Demographics: The McKaig community spans over 2200 people (more with family members) who regularly visit the trails and follow our events on social media and web pages. Of these, 40% are in the 35-44 age group, 24% in the 45-54 bracket, 17% in ages 25-34, 16% are 55+. 94% live within 12 miles and 92% maintain household incomes over the national average.
Now is the opportunity to get your organization significant exposure and goodwill! The deadline for sponsorships is 9/1/17 and early registration ensures maximum exposure. Please help your organization and ours by supporting this great local cause with financial contributions or in‐kind donations.
